Menlo Park Academy Weekly Update- 9/20/12 Fall is here and we are excited about the fun and productive year ahead of us! Here are some important updates and a taste of what is in store for the days, weeks, and months to come.  This week... Gradebook Re-enrollment From the Business Office Boosters Upcoming Dates Volunteer Spotlight Hot Lunch Gradebook Gradebook (previously know as Progressbook) passwords will come home to families in the Thursday folder. Please know that your teachers just gained access to Gradebook as well and we appreciate your patience as we get past assignments uploaded.  K-3 parents should be on the lookout for information coming home Monday about the report card this year and how Gradebook will be used as a communication tool. Re-enrollment  Re-enrollment of current students and siblings will be starting in November. Please watch for more information in the coming weeks.   REMINDER:  If you have a kindergarten sibling, they MUST have their qualifying test scores done by re-enrollment time for preferential placement, as do the rest of the students.  Test your kindergarten student BEFORE 12/1/2012.  Make the appt. now, so you are sure to get your child in on time. From the Business Office The MPA business office will no longer be accepting cash payments. All payments need to be check or cashiers check. If you are are on a materials fees payment plan, please remember to make your payments at the beginning of the month. We need YOU at the Browns Game! Volunteers are still needed to fully staff the MPA stadium at Browns stadium this Sunday and for every home game this season.    Your support will help raise over $15,000 in operational funding!  Learn more about how to become part of the awesome Browns team and sign up today!  I'm a Booster, You're a Booster! Each member of the MPA community is a Booster, formerly known as the Community Building team. With students coming to MPA from more than 40 Northeast Ohio school districts, the Boosters work hard to instill a sense of community within our school. The mission of the Boosters, is to encourage a sense of an MPA community by offering recreational activities to our students, their families and the staff of MPA. Join us tonight, 9/20, in the MPA gym, to elect the Booster Executive Board and learn more about our plans for the year. The Boosters support MPA and have a separate budget and executive board whose members are elected by the parents of MPA. Our events and activities are not fundraisers. We offer recreational and community activities to the students and the MPA community.The Booster's work in collaboration with the school administration to support Menlo families.
